TMG Global is proud to welcome David Genton as our new Senior Technical Delivery Architect. Dave is an experienced Engineer with over 30 years industry experience in both pre-sales and post-sales roles as well as an instructor for the Cisco Networking Academy.
The vast majority of Daves industry experience has been spent in a Network Consulting type role. With a degree in Criminal Law, he comes to us as a former Police Officer. He returned to school at St. Petersburg College taking evening and weekend classes to start his 2nd degree in Information Technology while working for Cisco as a Systems Engineer specializing in Unified Communications, Virtualization, Wireless and Data Center Fabrics as applied to Networking.
Dave has a long list of industry certifications from most major networking vendors, including CCIE #6746. He comes to TMG from CDW where he worked the past 15 years as the Principal FSA for the Southeast.
Dave enjoys continuing his education in the quickly evolving IT world by taking classes often and working in his home lab. When he is not working, or in the home lab, he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Dave and and his wife Althea have been married for nearly 30 years, they met at work and have worked together nearly their entire married life. They have 2 adult children, Joshua and Jayme, and 1 Granddaughter Maia. Dave and Althea enjoy traveling most of all and have a regular flat in London. Every year they strive to explore and visit somewhere new whether in the UK or Europe.
